About Debbie Vowles Counselling
                                People often feel:
fear or panic or anxiety;
empty, lacking in direction, a lack of confidence;
grief, sadness, lost
The feelings could be due to a crisis, bereavement or trauma, or nothing specific. Perhaps you have a health problem – a new diagnosis or an ongoing condition that is difficult to live with. Perhaps you are having relationship difficulties trying to start or end one or change one. Perhaps you feel under too much stress at work.
These are normal and usually pass. But if you feel it has been going on too long or it is too painful, talking to a professional can be very helpful.
Talking can help you to untangle your emotions and help you to understand what is going on. Perhaps you can work out how to manage the feelings, or devise strategies to change a situation.
Time Limited Therapy and Counselling is a unique therapy that stands alone as one of the many styles of therapeutic help available to deal with distress. I have been specifically trained in this model but also offer open ended/long term therapy if that is required.
I firmly believe that having a time limit (usually between 8 and 12 weekly sessions) can help the process of finding a way forward. Working in this focussed way is helpful in nearly all cases of distress.
